Cookie Policy

During a visit to the website, cookies are placed on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that we store on your computer or mobile device when you visit the website.

Cookies are usually used to make websites function optimally, to keep track of the actions of website visitors, to save login details, etc. There are different types of cookies that can be distinguished according to their origin, function and lifetime.

You can read more about cookies at www.aboutcookies.org.

Which cookies do we use and why?

We primarily use ‘first party cookies’. These are technical cookies used by the website and whose purpose is to make the site function optimally. Example: settings made by the user during previous visits to the site, or even : a pre-filled form with data the user has done during previous visits.

We also use a number of ‘Third party cookies’. These are technical cookies used by third parties whose purpose is to inform us about your browsing behaviour and technical data.

What types of cookies are there and what are they for?

We can divide the cookies we use into four categories:

1. Essential cookies

Essential cookies are cookies that are necessary for a website to function. They enable basic functions such as page navigation, security and loading time to work.

  • cookies: stores your cookie preference (for 24 hours)
  • .AspNetCore.Antiforgery.*: security cookie for forms (stored during the session)

2. Personalisation cookies

Personalisation cookies are cookies that store information about your choices and preferences on a website. For instance, they remember your choice of language, login details or the region you live in.

3. Analytical cookies

Analytical cookies collect information about the behaviour of website visitors and the performance of the website. Based on the results, the website can be improved and visitors get a better user experience.

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., to count visitors to our website and analyze their use of the site to help us determine the value of our content to our users. The expiration date of the cookies varies: some expire at the end of the session, others after more than a year.

  • _ga: visitor measurement by Google Analytics
  • _ga_*: visitor measurement by Google Analytics

4. Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies track the browsing behaviour of website visitors and compile a user profile on that basis. That profile is used to personalise the browsing experience and, for example, to display personalised offers, advertisements, newsletters and the like that match your interests.

How can you disable cookies?

At the bottom of the website, you will find a link to adjust your cookie preferences: “change cookie preferences.”

You can also disable cookies, delete them or adjust the settings for cookies in your browser, although in that case our website will no longer be able to work optimally. Do you want to adjust the browser's cookie settings anyway? Then you can use your browser's help function to change them. Below you will find an overview of the help pages about cookies for the most commonly used browsers.
