Welcome To Amputee Care Center
powered by Spronken
Living with an amputation and a prosthesis brings experiences that others may not always fully understand. That’s precisely why it can be valuable to meet people who know how that feels.
On Saturday, September 19, the Amputee Care Center by Spronken cordially invites you to our Peer Support Day in Genk, Belgium.
A day centered on connection. To share experiences, ask questions, discover new developments, or simply listen to someone else’s story.
At the Amputee Care Center, we look beyond simply fitting and adjusting a prosthesis. We combine technical expertise and new technologies with personalized support, all with one goal: to help you move, work, and live as independently and comfortably as possible.
During the Peer Support Day, we bring together these different aspects of amputee care.
We’ll start the day with a varied program featuring experts and people with lived experience:
Tom Daniëls – Amputee Care Center
The Future of Prosthetics
Prof. Dr. Ruth Van der Looven – Pediatric Rehabilitation, Ghent University
Small Hands, Big Possibilities
Prof. Kristof Vaes – Product Development, University of Antwerp
Inclusive Design & Design for Well-being
Marco Oggianu – Bergop Occupational Therapy
Care in One’s Own Living Environment
Patricia Van Der Voort – Kortermaarkrachtig
Explanation of Kortermaarkrachtig’s Work
Ilse Malfait – Person with lived experience and sepsis survivor
Testimony
After the presentations, there will be plenty of time to connect with others in similar situations, attend workshops, and participate in informational sessions.
You can meet our team, take a tour, and get an up-close look at the latest developments and technologies in prosthetic care.
Whether you wear a prosthesis yourself, support someone with an amputation, or simply want to meet other people: you’re more than welcome.
